Norwood Chief William Brooks announced on Twitter Thursday that the victim has succumbed to injures sustained in the fall. The woman has been identified as <strong>Jessica Castro<\/strong> of Milford. Tuesday, police responded to a report that a woman was seriously injured in a 30-foot fall through a skyline on Broadway. OSHA officials have been notified of the incident.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox25boston.com\/news\/worker-critically-injured-after-falling-through-skylight-in-norwood\/527997512\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A worker told WFXT<\/a> that Castro was working for a subcontractor and that skylights often have a barrier around them. It is unknown if there was a barrier around the skylights in this incident.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"title\">3 victims identified in deadly Wisconsin corn mill explosion<\/h3>\n<p><strong>MADISON, Wis. &#8212;<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; The<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/wisconsin-corn-mill-explosion-victims-identified\/\"> body of a third worker<\/a> was recovered Friday from the ruins of a corn mill that exploded in southern Wisconsin, <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/explosion-wisconsin-ethanol-plant-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">two days after an explosion at the facility<\/a><\/span>. The 43-year-old Bay County Roads and Bridges heavy equipment operator succumbed Thursday to injuries sustained last month <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsherald.com\/news\/20170602\/county-road-worker-dies-of-injuries\">when a man drove his car into him<\/a> on Thomas Drive as Vinson was putting out an electronic sign.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"entry-title\">Construction Worker Killed Near US-Mexico Border Identified<\/h3>\n<p>San Diego, CA &#8212; Authorities Thursday publicly identified a worker <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofsandiego.com\/crime\/2017\/06\/01\/construction-worker-killed-near-us-mexico-border-identified\/\">killed in a construction accident<\/a> near the U.S.-Mexico border as a 56-year-old Wyoming man.\u00a0<strong>Frederick Von Kahl<\/strong> was killed while working on a drill rig at the site on Camiones Way in San Ysidro late Wednesday morning, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office. He was struck in the chest by a hose, which knocked him off an elevated platform, according to news reports. The victim had worked for Earth Tech Well Drilling, which was subcontracting for Atkinson\/Clark, according to NBC7.<\/p>\n<h3>Topeka man, 53, dies in work-related incident at Orbis Plastic plant in Osage City<\/h3>\n<p>Osage City, KS &#8212; A 53-year-old Topeka man <a href=\"http:\/\/cjonline.com\/news\/local\/2017-05-31\/topeka-man-53-dies-work-related-incident-orbis-plastic-plant-osage-city\">died early Wednesday<\/a> in a work-related incident at the Orbis Plastic plant in Osage City, the town\u2019s police chief said. Osage City authorities were dispatched at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday to 515 S. 4th Street in Osage City, said Osage City Chief of Police Fred Nech. When officers arrived, they found employee <strong>Ruben Guadlaupe Chavira,<\/strong> 53, of Topeka. Police said a forklift operated by Chavira pinned him against other<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"title\">Coroner: 1 killed, 2 injured in accident at Calhoun Co. plant<\/h3>\n<p class=\"title\">CALHOUN COUNTY, SC &#8212;\u00a0A Columbia man was killed and two others injured in an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestate.com\/news\/local\/article119200493.html\">accident at a Calhoun County chemical plant<\/a> Tuesday, officials said. The accident happened around 12:15 p.m. at the DAK Americas plant on K Avenue, according to Calhoun County Coroner Donnie Porth. The man killed in the accident was identified as<strong> Alton Zeigler,<\/strong> 63, of Columbia. An autopsy is pending. Site manager Mark Leonhardt said three employees were performing annual maintenance on a polymer pump. He couldn\u2019t provide specifics on the incident or confirm if an explosion occurred.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Construction worker, 20, killed after falling through skylight at water treatment plant<\/h3>\n<p>MASON COUNTY, Mich. &#8211;A 20-year-old construction worker was <a href=\"http:\/\/upnorthlive.com\/news\/local\/construction-worker-20-killed-after-falling-at-water-treatment-plant\">killed after he fell 30 feet<\/a> at the Ludington Water Treatment Plant Wednesday afternoon, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.masoncountypress.com\/2017\/05\/31\/construction-worker-dead-as-a-result-of-water-plant-fall-injuries\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to the Mason County Press.<\/a>\u00a0The plant is on N. Lakeshore Drive just north of Stearns Park. Ludington&#8217;s city manager says the man fell through a skylight and onto an empty concrete clarifier. The man was airlifted to a hospital in Grand Rapids, where he was pronounced dead. The Mason County Press reports the man was an employee of Davis Construction out of Lansing. (The victim has been identified as 20-year-old <strong>Kevin Martinez<\/strong> of Grand Rapids.)<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Deadly crash kills 2 EMT paramedics in Jupiter<\/h3>\n<p>JUPITER, Fla. &#8211; Jupiter police said two EMT paramedics\u00a0were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wptv.com\/news\/region-n-palm-beach-county\/jupiter\/deadly-crash-closes-indiantown-road-westbound-in-jupiter\">killed in a rollover crash<\/a> involving a car early Thursday morning at\u00a0Indiantown Road near Military Trail in Jupiter. The EMTs were employed by American Medical Response and identified as\u00a0caregivers, <strong>Lahiri Garcia<\/strong>, 51, and critical care paramedic and supervisor, <strong>Paul Besaw<\/strong>, 36.<\/p>\n<div class=\"subscriber-preview\">\n<h3>Employee dies after falling nearly 30 feet from building roof<\/h3>\n<p>Morganton, NC &#8212; What police believe to be a <a href=\"http:\/\/Employee dies after falling nearly 30 feet from building roof\">tragic industrial accident<\/a> ended up killing a Lenoir man on Wednesday morning in Morganton. <strong>Thomas William Mauck<\/strong>, 27, was killed after he fell approximately 25 to 30 feet from the roof of Leviton Inc., according to Capt. T. Devinney with Morganton Department of Public Safety. Mauck fell through a fire vent door from the roof of Leviton where he was employed, according to a statement from the North Carolina Department of Labor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"tncms-region-article_instory_top\" class=\"tncms-region hidden-print\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>\u201cBased upon preliminary information, a 27-year old male was on the roof of the facility attempting to open a fire vent door when the door flew open, hitting him in the head,\u201d the statement said. \u201cThe employee fell through the door, and was transported to Carolinas Medical Center, and was later pronounced deceased.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"margin-0 margin-bottom-10 font-color-black bodyText\">Firefighter dies, another hurt in Monday night crash<\/h3>\n<div class=\"pull-right margin-left-10 margin-top-10\">\u00a0MEMPHIS, Mo. &#8212; A volunteer firefighter with the Memphis\/Scotland County Fire Department died and a second firefighter was injured <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whig.com\/20170530\/firefighter-dies-another-hurt-in-monday-night-crash#\">in a Monday night crash<\/a> north of Memphis on the way to a fire call. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 1974 Chevrolet C65 fire truck driven by <strong>Jesse W. Crook<\/strong> was killed early Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"asset-headline\">Autopsy doesn&#8217;t explain why Valdosta worker died<\/h3>\n<p>MOULTRIE, Ga. &#8212; An autopsy performed on a young Valdosta <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moultrieobserver.com\/news\/ga_fl_news\/autopsy-doesn-t-explain-why-valdosta-worker-died\/article_15cbd9d6-454a-11e7-8aac-93c0634d3613.html\">man who collapsed<\/a> on Monday at a Moultrie construction site and later died did not turn up an apparent cause of death.\u00a0<strong>William Dane Gilliland,<\/strong> 23, collapsed while working at a site on Rowland Drive between 8 and 8:30 a.m., Colquitt County Coroner Verlyn Brock said. He was pronounced dead at 9:06 a.m. at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. \u201cHe was working with a construction company out of Valdosta doing foundation work for some additional buildings at Colquitt EMC,\u201d Brock said.<\/p>\n<div id=\"article-header\">\n<h3>2 Killed in Explosion at West Virginia Industrial Plant<\/h3>\n<p>Philippi, WV &#8212; An <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/southeast\/2017\/05\/30\/452455.htm\">explosion<\/a> at a West Virginia industrial plant has killed two people and injured a third. Officials say the explosion was reported last week at Midland Resource Recovery, a company based in Ontario, Canada, that odorizes natural gas. The U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration said owner <strong>Jan Strmen<\/strong> and employee <strong>Justin Marsh<\/strong> were using bleach and preparing a tank for cleaning at the facility outside Philippi when it exploded shortly before noon May 24.<\/p>\n<h3>Construction worker killed at water treatment plant<\/h3>\n<p>Marshall, MO &#8212; The Marshall Fire Department responded to a call regarding a male who had<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marshallnews.com\/story\/2416340.html\"> fallen from the top of a construction tank<\/a> on Tuesday, May 30.
