Copiah County EOC Director Darryl Hilliard said the man was discovered just before the I-55 northbound Wesson rest area. The victim was lying on the ground near the passenger side of his truck. According to investigators, the man appeared to have been dead for several hours before someone spotted him and alerted authorities. The victim was identified as a 78-year-old man who was driving an 18-wheeler for JC Transport. Authorities are withholding his name until his family can be fully notified.
