His fiancee is 5 months pregnant with their fourth child.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Construction worker killed by falling limestone on IU campus<\/h3>\n<p>Bloomington, IN &#8212; A large piece of limestone being installed above a doorway <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldtimesonline.com\/htonow\/construction-worker-killed-by-falling-limestone-on-iu-campus\/article_187bb122-48c5-11e8-b7e4-335657854d05.html\">fell and killed a construction worker<\/a> at Swain Hall West on Indiana University\u2019s campus Wednesday afternoon.IU spokesman Chuck Carney confirmed Wednesday afternoon that the construction worker died. Monroe County coroner Joani Shields said the victim was identified as 35-year-old <strong>William M. Brown Jr<\/strong>. of Bloomington. He worked for an independent contractor that had been hired by Indiana University to do renovations on the building. He was not an employee of IU.\u00a0The crew had been using equipment to lift and place limestone above an interior doorway at the north side of the building when it fell, according to preliminary reports given to emergency responders at the scene. Construction workers had started CPR on the man, who was hit in the head and chest by the limestone, according to Sgt. Brandon Hudson of the Bloomington Fire Department. Police declined to say whether Williams had been apprehended, or had turned himself in.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Cape Coral tow truck driver killed on the job<\/h3>\n<p>CAPE CORAL, Fla &#8211; A Cape Coral tow truck operator is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox4now.com\/news\/local-news\/cape-coral-tow-truck-driver-killed-on-the-job\">dead after being hit by a car<\/a>, Friday night. Cape Coral Police officers responded to the scene of a serious injury crash at Pine Island Road and Pondella Road, shortly after 8 p.m. on Friday. The victim, identified as <strong>Wes Dale<\/strong>,\u00a0was towing\u00a0a vehicle when a malfunction occurred\u00a0causing the vehicle to roll on top of him, according to loved ones. According to police, the worker fell through a hole in the first floor of a Grand Lofts Luxury Apartments building on the Hartford Turnpike. It happened around 7:30 a.m.\u00a0 Police initially said the woman, identified as 55-year-old <strong>Anita Goodwin<\/strong> of Broadbrook, suffered life-threatening injuries. LIFE STAR transported her to Hartford Hospital where she died. Police said this is the third incident they have responded to at the complex. The complex is being built and managed by the Santini family.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Rail Worker Struck, Killed<\/h3>\n<p class=\"headline\">Bowie, MD &#8212; Luke J. Gsell, age 20, of Garnet Valley, PA was killed on April 24, 2018 when was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.capitalgazette.com\/bowie_bladenews\/ac-bb-train-fatal-0425-story.html\">struck and killed<\/a> by an Amtrak train about a half-mile north of the\u00a0Bowie State University\u00a0MARC\u00a0station Tuesday morning while working as a lookout. In a 911 call, a witness stated that after a &#8220;big boom,&#8221; she saw a man lying on the ground. At the time of the call, 8:15 a.m., Sanchez was awake and breathing. The female witness said she could hear him mumbling, but soon started to close his eyes. She reported he was having a hard time breathing. The witness said the man had fallen from what appeared to be a 25-foot ladder and hit a nearby &#8220;power source&#8221; in the back of building two and three at the complex. Smith had been working at the plant (3304 Chestnut Hill Road) for about six months through a temporary agency, he said.\u00a0According to deputies\u2019 reports, Smith was cleaning in the area of the machine when she accidentally set off a sensor that caused it to lift, wedging her between the machine and a metal post.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h68000-p1\" class=\"permalinkable\"><strong>Truck driver killed<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p id=\"h68000-p2\" class=\"permalinkable\">MESOPOTAMIA, OH &#8212;\u00a0A truck driver hauling logs was killed about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vindy.com\/news\/2018\/apr\/25\/truck-driver-killed\/\">after one of the logs fell off his truck and struck him<\/a>. A supervisor at the Trumbull County 911 Center said the accident happened in the 9000 block of Bundysburg Winsdor Road. On scene was the Trumbull County Sheriff\u2019s Office and fire departments from Mesopotamia, Winsdor and Middlefield. The shooting, which appears to be random, was reported just after 8:30 a.m. at a construction site near Ninth Street and Brooklyn Avenue, according to Kansas City police. <strong>Johnathon L. Porter<\/strong>, 23<i>,<\/i>\u00a0was a worker for a company that contracted with Spire. The shooter walked up to a group of workers and briefly spoke to them before he pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the group as he walked away, according to witnesses.<\/p>\n<h3>Worker Crushed<\/h3>\n<p>Longview, WA &#8212; An employee of GT\u00a0Metals and Salvage,\u00a0<strong>Christopher Cobb<\/strong>, was killed while\u00a0dismantling a metal frame structure when the structure fell on him.
