Crews have been dismantling the printing press after the paper&#8217;s printing operations moved to Jersey City, New Jersey.The coroner says the victim is a 32-year-old man from Cape Coral, Florida. His name wasn&#8217;t immediately released.The Morning Call reports that newsroom workers heard a loud boom shortly after 5 p.m. The cause of the accident is under investigation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<div>\n<header id=\"article__header\" class=\"article__header\">\n<h3 id=\"articleHeadline\" class=\"p-name\">Man struck, killed by tractor at N.J. recycling plant<\/h3>\n<\/header>\n<div id=\"article__story\" class=\"article__story\">\n<div id=\"entryContent\" class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>North Bergen, NJ &#8212; Police are investigating an accident at a Hudson County recycling plant in which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nj.com\/hudson\/index.ssf\/2018\/06\/tractor_strikes_and_kills_worker_at_recycling_plan.html\">a construction loader struck and killed a\u00a0man<\/a> Saturday morning. <strong>Angelo Maietta,<\/strong> 31, of Bayonne, was hit by a payloader at Lincoln Recycling in North Bergen just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Captain William Lyons of the North Bergen police department, who called it a &#8220;tragic death.&#8221; News 12 reported\u00a0that Maietta was working with his brother, Rafel Maietta, for a junk removal company when the two men made a regular stop at Lincoln Recycling on Dell Avenue.\u00a0\u00a0Rafel told News 12 that Angelo was closing the doors on the back of their truck when a payloader came speeding in reverse and struck Angelo and his vehicle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<section>\n<div class=\"hero shadow-none white block-looser-for-large-up padding-top-loose-for-small-only \">\n<div class=\"flex-row relative\">\n<div class=\"flex-small-12 \">\n<div class=\"hero-content-container flex-media block-flush \">\n<div class=\"flex-media-content\">\n<section id=\"module-position-Q6sRB07SCDM\" class=\"storytopbar-bucket story-headline-module story-story-headline-module\">\n<h3 class=\"asset-headline speakable-headline\">Utility worker dies in manhole in Northwest Cape Coral<\/h3>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"module-position-Q6sRB06Q4yA\" class=\"storytopbar-bucket priority-asset-module story-priority-asset-module\"><\/section>\n<section id=\"module-position-Q6sRB07ygMc\" class=\"storytopbar-bucket story-byline-module story-story-byline-module\"><\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<div id=\"content-main\" class=\"flex-row sticky-container\">\n<div id=\"ad-in-text-target\" class=\"block-loose\">\n<div class=\"article-body-item ad-in-text-target \">\n<p>CAPE CORAL, Fla. &#8212;\u00a0 A Southwest Utility Systems\u00a0worker died Friday afternoon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news-press.com\/story\/news\/crime\/2018\/06\/01\/cape-coral-police-responding-utility-worker-fall\/663925002\/\">while\u00a0installing a new water and sewer line beneath a manhole<\/a> in northwest Cape Coral. The name of the man had\u00a0not been released Friday afternoon.\u00a0 Southwest Utilities declined to comment. It took an hour and 45 minutes from the noon 911 call until paramedics removed the body from the hole at the foot of the Rabe\u2019s driveway and into an ambulance. The paramedics covered the man\u2019s body and walked slowly with the stretcher before loading it. Fire trucks from South Trail, Iona McGregor and Cape Coral responded to the scene, where rain sprinkled as paramedics and firefighters recovered the body. Cape Coral Police spokesman Dana Coston, who arrived to the scene after the body had been moved, said he was not sure whether the man had fallen into the hole or had suffered a medical problem while in the hole. But Rabe said she was almost certain the man had been in the hole \u2013 meaning he did not fall \u2013 and passed out because of a lack of oxygen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Man dies after being pinned under fallen tree in Dunlap Tuesday<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"dateline\">DUNLAP, Tenn. \u2014\u00a0<\/span>Dunlap Police Chief Clinton Huth has identified man<a href=\"http:\/\/foxchattanooga.com\/news\/local\/man-dies-after-being-pinned-under-fallen-tree-in-dunlap-tuesday\"> killed by fallen tree<\/a> on Tuesday as 45-year-old <strong>Don &#8220;DJ&#8221; Carlos Harmon<\/strong>, Jr, of Dunlap. Tuesday&#8217;s death marks more than 30 workplace fatalities in Tennessee in 2018.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Two Construction Workers Struck, Killed in DUI Crash<\/h3>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-pnum=\"1\">Orange, CA &#8212; A man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/local\/Two-Workers-Killed-Canyon-Road-in-Orange-484251351.html\">struck and killed two road workers<\/a> by a car on an Orange County road. Hipolito Paez-Vazquez, 30, was arrested in suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Orange Police Department. The crash happened just before 9 p.m. at East Santiago and Jamboree roads in Orange, officials said. Paez-Vazquez stopped and was cooperated with the investigation. The two people who died were near a construction zone.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Funeral Services Set for Diver Killed During Memorial Day Rescue Mission<\/h3>\n<p class=\"headline\">Chicago, IL &#8212; Funeral arrangements were announced Wednesday for a Chicago Fire Department diver who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcchicago.com\/news\/local\/funeral-services-set-diver-killed-during-memorial-day-rescue-mission-484088741.html\">died while trying to find a missing boater in the Chicago River<\/a> on Memorial Day.\u00a0 Visitation for<strong>\u00a0Juan Bucio,<\/strong> 46, will start at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Rita, fire officials said, and go until 9 p.m.\u00a0The investigation into how Bucio\u00a0died continued Wednesday, as authorities combed over video of his last moments to try and figure out what went wrong. Bucio was among the first responders called to a report of a person missing in the Chicago River near the 2600 block of South Ashland Avenue at around 8 p.m. Monday night, authorities said. At some point, Bucio&#8217;s dive partner looked back and Bucio was gone. Sources said that by the time rescuers reached him, Bucio was unresponsive. First responders attempted CPR before he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he later died, officials said.\u00a0He is survived by his two sons, ages seven and nine, and nine siblings.<\/p>\n<h3>Tow truck driver killed in I-94 crash identified; 5 others still critical<\/h3>\n<p>Ypsilanti, MI &#8212; One person was killed and five others injured in an I-94 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox2detroit.com\/news\/local-news\/victim-killed-in-i-94-crash-identified-5-others-still-in-critical-condition\">crash involving a school bus<\/a> Tuesday morning in Ypsilanti.The crash killed tow truck driver <strong>Nader Chehadi,<\/strong> 42, from Ypsilanti according to Michigan State Police in an afternoon update. He was assisting a school bus stopped on the side of the road when the bus was\u00a0struck from behind by an SUV at 10:20 a.m. at the time of the crash.\u00a0Nader died from his injuries while two adults and three children inside the SUV are in critical condition at area hospitals.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">One of four injured in Doddridge County explosion dies<\/h3>\n<div class=\"meta\">\n<div class=\"subscriber-preview\">\n<p>Charleston, WV &#8212; One of the four people flown to the hospital <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wvgazettemail.com\/news\/one-of-four-injured-in-doddridge-county-explosion-dies\/article_522c07fe-30e9-5e46-8ccb-a1473925e604.html\">after an oil tank exploded<\/a> in Doddridge County has died, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. <strong>Barry Lattea<\/strong>, 51, was removing oil tanks on White Hair Lane in West Union Friday morning about 10 a.m. when one of the tanks caught fire and exploded, said Blake McEnany, assistant area director for the OSHA\u2019s Charleston office. Four people were flown to the hospital for their injuries, and Lattea later died at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Lattea died of thermal and inhalation injuries, McEnany said. He didn\u2019t comment on the status of the other three people who were injured. Lattea worked for Hydrocarbon Well Service, a Buckhannon-based oil and gas company, McEnany said. The other three people were employed by Waste Management, he said.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"entry-title\">Truck driver killed in I-74 crash<\/h3>\n<p>Shelby County, In.\u00a0<strong>\u2014\u00a0<\/strong>Indiana State Police say a <a href=\"https:\/\/wrbiradio.com\/2018\/05\/31\/truck-driver-killed-in-i-74-crash\/\">truck driver was killed<\/a> in 5 p.m. accident on eastbound I-74 in Shelby County Wednesday. Investigators say a car traveling in the left lane had a flat tire and began to move to the right. While exiting the roadway, the car pulled into the path of an eastbound semi-truck. The truck made an evasive move but still hit the right rear of the car and drove off the roadway. The truck overturned and slid into a wooded area. Police say the driver died on impact<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-body-item ad-in-text-target \">\n<h3>Trucker Killed in Nebraska I-80 Collision<\/h3>\n<p>BEAVER CROSSING, Neb. (AP) \u2014 Authorities say a truck driver (<strong>Mitchell Quandt<\/strong>, 30) was killed after the truck struck another semitrailer on Interstate 80 in eastern\u00a0Nebraska. The accident occurred around 4:25 p.m. Wednesday near the Beaver Crossing interchange in Seward County. The Nebraska State Patrol says the truck was pulling a trailer loaded with cars eastbound when it struck a sport utility vehicle from behind, ran across the median and struck the westbound semitrailer. The patrol says the driver of the vehicle hauler was fatally injured. The other trucker was taken to a York hospital. The two people in the SUV weren&#8217;t hurt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Atlanta Special Agent in Charge dies of complications from role at World Trade Center<\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"article-dateline\"><span class=\"date-line-city\">ATLANTA, GA<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u2014\u00a0Atlanta Special Agent in Charge, <strong>David LeValley<\/strong>, died Saturday morning of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whio.com\/news\/national\/atlanta-special-agent-charge-dies-complications-from-role-world-trade-center\/0ub8OuXT9UljlBdQBZPXdM\/\"> complications from his role as a first responder at the World Trade Center<\/a>.\u00a0He was called to serve his country following the attacks on 9\/11 at the World Trade Center, where he spent several weeks being exposed to contaminants. LeValley died in the line of duty as a direct result of his work at the World Trade Center.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline___nhqI9\">Suspect in slaying of Tennessee deputy captured after manhunt<\/h3>\n<p>DICKSON, Tenn. \u2014 After a two-day manhunt, a trooper came across the\u00a0suspect in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/suspect-slaying-tennessee-deputy-captured-after-manhunt-n879186\">slaying of a sheriff&#8217;s deputy<\/a>\u00a0not far from the scene of the crime, authorities said Friday. Dickson County sheriff&#8217;s <strong>Sgt. Daniel Bake<\/strong>r was killed after responding to a call about a suspicious car on Wednesday, the state police agency said. Baker couldn&#8217;t be contacted for some time, but the deputy&#8217;s car was eventually tracked by GPS to a wooded area 2 or 3 miles away. The deputy was found dead inside of it.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Calif. truck driver killed in Lake County rollover crash<\/h3>\n<p>Lake County, Oregon &#8212; A California semi-truck driver was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ktvz.com\/news\/calif-truck-driver-killed-in-lake-county-rollover-crash\/747665384\">killed in a rollover crash<\/a> Tuesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 395 in Lake County, Oregon State Police reported. Troopers and other emergency personnel responded to the crash around 1:10 p.m. near milepost 151, OSP Captain Tim Fox said. A preliminary investigation found that a blue 2011 Kenworth tractor and flatbed trailer driven by <strong>Pete George Cappello<\/strong>, 63, of Cottonwood, California was heading north on the highway when, for an unknown reason, the rig drifted into the ditch on the east shoulder and rolled on the highway, Fox said.\u00a0Cappello suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, Fox said.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"Article-title\">OSHA investigating company where construction worker died on the job<\/h3>\n<div class=\"Article-paragraph\">\n<p>Fort Myers, FL &#8212; The name of the company involved in a deadly workplace accident that killed a Lee County father has been released.\u00a0<strong>John Pullen,<\/strong> 47, died on Tuesday <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbc-2.com\/story\/38312386\/ohsa-investigating-company-where-construction-worker-died\">after a concrete wall collapsed<\/a> inside a vacant storefront off Bonita Beach Road. Pullen, a father to two daughters, died after being rushed to the hospital. A representative for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, said Pullen was working for a company called Al Hauls It All, LLC.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Tree Trimmer Killed When Limb Falls on Him in Plantation<\/h3>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-pnum=\"1\">Miramar, Fl &#8212; A worker from a tree trimming company was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/local\/Tree-Trimmer-Killed-When-Limb-Falls-on-Him-in-Plantation-483968191.html\">killed when a limb fell on him<\/a> in Plantation Tuesday, officials said. Plantation Fire officials said the man was working in the 11200 block of Southwest 1st Street when the limb fell on him. At least two other workers were present but seemed very distraught and didn&#8217;t want to speak with reporters.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"css-ouykvn ejekc6u0\"><span class=\"balancedHeadline\">TV Journalists Killed After Tree Crushes S.U.V. During Storm in North Carolina<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"css-1tyen8a e2kc3sl0\">Tryon, NC &#8212; A television anchor and a photojournalist for a broadcast news station in South Carolina died Monday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/05\/28\/us\/tv-news-crew-killed-falling-tree.html?hp&amp;action=click&amp;pgtype=Homepage&amp;clickSource=story-heading&amp;module=first-column-region&amp;region=top-news&amp;WT.nav=top-news\">after a tree fell and crushed their sport utility vehicle<\/a> while they were out covering the severe weather generated by Subtropical Storm Alberto, the authorities and station officials said. When fire personnel arrived around 2:30 p.m., they found the S.U.V. in drive with the engine running, Chief Geoffrey Tennant of the Fire Department in Tryon, N.C.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Person shot, killed in gas station parking lot on Indy&#8217;s northeast side<\/h3>\n<p>INDIANAPOLIS, IN &#8212; A person was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindychannel.com\/news\/local-news\/crime\/person-shot-in-gas-station-parking-lot-on-indy-s-northeast-side\">shot and killed<\/a> Tuesday morning on Indianapolis&#8217; northeast side.The shooting happened in the parking lot of a gas station near the intersection of 34th Street and Sherman Drive at about 5 a.m. A spokesperson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the victim was an employee of the gas station, but that it did not appear to be a\u00a0robbery.The victim has been identified as <strong>Sheriff Jallow,<\/strong> 50.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Driver dies when truck hits downed power lines in Kansas<\/h3>\n<p>Satanta, KS &#8212; A truck driver from Texas was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cjonline.com\/news\/20180530\/driver-dies-when-truck-hits-downed-power-lines-in-kansas\">killed in a single-vehicle crash<\/a> Tuesday afternoon in Haskell County in southwest Kansas, authorities said. The crash was reported at 3:16 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Road 50 and Road FF, about 17 miles north of Satanta. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2005 International truck that was pulling a trailer was traveling east on Road 50 when it struck power lines that were down. The patrol said Road 50 was closed at the time. The driver of the truck, <strong>Louis James Torres,<\/strong> 42, of Midland, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol said Torres was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"headline\">Duo faces judge after 1 killed, 2 others hurt in gas station shootings<\/h3>\n<p>GASTON COUNTY, N.C.\u00a0&#8211; One gas station <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsoctv.com\/news\/local\/two-in-custody-after-fatal-gas-station-robberies-in-gaston-county\/757592559\">employee was killed and two others were injured<\/a> after police said two men fired shots inside two different Gastonia\u00a0gas stations Saturday night.\u00a0 Police said the first shooting happened at the Gray\u00a0Franklin Express on East Franklin Boulevard around 9:53 p.m. Officials said the clerk, Tomeka Lynch, was shot several times and was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Investigators said the same men then went to Zula Express on Ozark Avenue around 11:17 p.m. and shot two employees.
