Other construction workers attempted to free\u00a0<strong>Chadwick Adam Brown<\/strong>, of Pinellas, Thursday when he became caught under the construction crane at the Twin Dolphin Marina in Bradenton, Florida.\u00a0Rescue workers freed him but he died a short time later. The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports another worker was injured but the injuries weren\u2019t life-threatening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lumberton officer killed responding to I-95 crash<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>LUMBERTON,&nbsp;N.C. (WNCN) -A Lumberton&nbsp;police officer was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs17.com\/news\/north-carolina-news\/lumberton-officer-killed-responding-to-i-95-crash\/1661344683\">hit and killed while responding to a&nbsp;crash<\/a> on I-95 Northbound&nbsp;Saturday morning, according to the police department. <strong>Officer Jason Quick<\/strong>, 31, was dispatched&nbsp;to the incident near Fayetteville Road&nbsp;around 6:10 a.m. While on the scene,&nbsp;a vehicle hit Quick&nbsp;just before 7 a.m. Local first responders&nbsp;transported him to Southeastern Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.&nbsp; Troopers said that a driver hit Quick as he was attempting to walk across the northbound lanes from the inside lane to the right side shoulder. As of Saturday afternoon, troopers had not released if there were going to be any charges for that driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NC worker dies after being trapped on railroad tracks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>SPENCER, N.C. (WBTV) &#8211; A contractor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs17.com\/news\/north-carolina-news\/nc-worker-dies-after-being-trapped-on-railroad-tracks\/1661952533\">died after being trapped between two metal plates on railroad tracks<\/a> in Rowan County Saturday. According to police, officers are investigating a death on the railroad tracks in Spencer. The man was trapped between two steel plates, but there\u2019s no word on how he got there. Norfolk Southern says the man who died was a contractor working for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2 suspects sought after employee found dead at convenience store in Easley<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>EASLEY, S.C. (WSPA) &#8211; Easley Police Department officials have been investigating&nbsp;after a female was found dead behind the counter inside a convenience store Friday night. According to Chief Tim Tollison, the woman, who appears to have been a B Pam&#8217;s Food Mart employee,&nbsp;was shot. The Pickens County Coroner has identified the victim as 49-year-old <strong>Stacey Regina Branham.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Worker dies after being crushed by bus at Les Schwab Tire Center in Georgetown<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>SEATTLE, WA &#8211; A 55-year-old man was killed and a 29-year-old man was critically injured <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kiro7.com\/news\/local\/worker-dies-after-being-crushed-by-bus-at-les-schwab-tire-center-in-georgetown\/889100442\">when a bus crushed<\/a> them as they were working on it on Friday, officials said. He was the son of David and Carol (Lamb) Warkenthien of Clark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Georgia officer killed after traffic stop; suspect dead<br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ATLANTA, GA \u2014 A Georgia police officer and a suspect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisn.com\/article\/georgia-officer-killed-after-traffic-stop-suspect-dead\/25578932\">died Thursday night after a traffic stop<\/a> led to a foot chase and shooting just east of Atlanta, authorities said. DeKalb County police Chief James Conroy said at a news conference that 24-year-old <strong>Edgar Isidro Flores<\/strong> and suspect died at an Atlanta hospital from injuries sustained during the Thursday evening shooting, according to news outlets. Conroy said the shooting followed a traffic stop. Conroy said the suspect fled, shot the pursuing DeKalb County officer and hid behind a business. The suspect then shot a police K-9, prompting officers to shoot the suspect, Conroy said.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Truck driver killed in fiery crash on I-95 in St. Lucie County identified by state troopers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL \u2014 A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tcpalm.com\/story\/news\/local\/st-lucie-county\/2018\/12\/14\/crash-interstate-95-st-lucie-county-overturned-tractor-trailer-port-st-lucie\/2309253002\/\">truck driver died Friday morning<\/a> when his vehicle veered off Interstate 95, crashed into a beam and caught fire, first responders reported. <strong>Christopher Laser<\/strong>, 32, of Ocala, was identified by Florida Highway Patrol as the driver in the single-vehicle crash. For some reason, the driver lost control and \u201cveered off of the paved travel lanes and drove onto the western grass shoulder,\u201d a release said.\u00a0 The tractor-trailer\u00a0crashed into a support beam for an exit sign, catching on fire and trapping the driver.\u00a0Laser, who was pronounced dead on scene by St. Lucie County fire officials, was the only occupant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Truck Driver Killed In Collision On Tuesday Identified<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>DUBLIN, CA &#8212;\u00a0A truck driver who was killed in a collision between two big-rigs on westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Dublin on Tuesday afternoon was identified by the Alameda County coroner today as 32-year-old <strong>Henry Louis Rodriguez-Carrerasquillo<\/strong> of Sacramento.\u00a0 The California Highway Patrol said a 2000 Peterbilt driven by Rodriguez-Carrerasquillo and a 2016 Freightliner driver by a 26-year-old man from Miami, Fla., were both traveling west on Highway 580 at about 12:36 p.m. Tuesday when, for unknown reasons, Rodriguez-Carrerasquillo allowed the front right of his big-rig to collide into the left rear of the other big-rig, according to CHP Officer Tyler Hahn.\u00a0 Rodriguez-Carrerasquillo then lost control of the Peterbilt and it swerved to the right and overturned, according to Hahn.\u00a0 He was crushed and emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene, Hahn said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Man dies after accident in Illinois steel foundry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>GRANITE CITY, Ill. (AP) \u2014\u00a0Authorities say a 54-year-old man has <a href=\"https:\/\/foxillinois.com\/news\/local\/man-dies-after-accident-in-illinois-steel-foundry-12-15-2018-170322089\">died after being injured<\/a> at a southwestern Illinois steel foundry. The Belleville News-Democrat and KMOV-TV report that <strong>Roy Evans<\/strong> of Carrolton was seriously hurt Thursday afternoon at American Steel Foundry in Granite City, east of St. Louis. The man, identified as 24-year-old<strong> Jordan R. Doyle<\/strong>, of Maysville, died Nov. 12. Kentucky State Police said Doyle was inside a piece of machinery when some sort of incident occurred.Emergency crews responded and he was pronounced dead around 9:30 p.m. LG&amp;E said the contractor was cleaning air filters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employee dies after an industrial accident at Roanoke Warehouse<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ROANOKE, Va. &#8211; An employee has<a href=\"https:\/\/www.virginiafirst.com\/news\/local-news\/one-wounded-in-industrial-accident-at-roanoke-warehouse\/1657221882\"> died from injuries suffered on the job<\/a> at an Advance Auto Parts distribution center in Roanoke. The incident happened Thursday at the Distribution Center on Blue Hills Drive NE according to a statement from the company.\u00a0 It happened around 2:30am.\u00a0 Roanoke City dispatch, confirming an industrial machine fell on a person at the Advance Auto Parts Warehouse on Blue Hills Drive.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ind. police officer killed in car crash during pursuit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CLARK COUNTY, Ind. \u2014 A Charlestown police officer d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.policeone.com\/officer-down\/482373006-Ind-police-officer-killed-in-car-crash-during-pursuit\/\">ied last night after a pursuit<\/a> beginning in Clark County ended in a crash in Scott County. Bertram&#8217;s vehicle crossed over Ind. 56 and left the roadway, striking a tree in the front yard of a nearby residence<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Police, OSHA probe worker&#8217;s death in Allentown<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ALLENTOWN, Pa. &#8211; Police and OSHA are investigating after a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wfmz.com\/news\/lehigh-valley\/police-osha-probe-worker-s-death-in-allentown\/930875875\">man died from injuries<\/a> he apparently suffered while working at an old silk mill being converted into apartments. The incident happened Monday at a building in the 300 block of West Court Street in Allentown, according to the Lehigh County coroner. The property owner says a painter fell at the former Adelaide Mills site. The painter,\u00a0<strong>Marwan Hajjar<\/strong>, 70, died late Monday night at the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rock Hill construction worker, 64, dies after fall at Chester school, coroner says<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CHESTER, SC &#8212; A construction worker from Rock Hill who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlotteobserver.com\/news\/state\/south-carolina\/article223128380.html\">fell after an electric shock<\/a> in Chester County at a building site has died, officials said. <strong>Donald Totherow<\/strong>, 64, died Wednesday at a Charlotte hospital, according to officials with the Chester County Coroner\u2019s Office. Totherow fell Monday after he received an electric shock while working at Lewisville Middle School, coroner officials said. The school is in Richburg, near Interstate 77.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"headline\">Man killed in Amherst tree-cutting incident identified, mourned&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>AMHERST, MA \u2014 <strong>Thomas Moszynski\u200b<\/strong>, 38, of Easthampton, has been identified as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazettenet.com\/Easthampton-man-who-died-in-Amherst-tree-cutting-incident-identified-22154463\">man who died in a tree-cutting incident<\/a> in Amherst Tuesday morning, according to the Northwestern district attorney\u2019s office. (AP) \u2014 One man is dead and another hospitalized after they were apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.njherald.com\/article\/20181212\/AP\/312129957#\">overcome by fumes<\/a> at a New Jersey condominium complex. Police responded to the complex in Washington Township Tuesday morning and found the two men unresponsive. The two men were working as groundskeepers at the complex, and police say they were likely overcome by fumes from a running lawn mower in a trailer. Responding officers performed CPR on the men, and they were both taken to the hospital. Police say one of the men, a 26-year-old from West New York, died at the hospital.
