{"id":4619,"date":"2019-02-06T13:38:55","date_gmt":"2019-02-06T18:38:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jordanbarab.com\/confinedspace\/?p=4619"},"modified":"2019-02-06T13:38:55","modified_gmt":"2019-02-06T18:38:55","slug":"mugnos-prospects-dim-further","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jordanbarab.com\/confinedspace\/2019\/02\/06\/mugnos-prospects-dim-further\/","title":{"rendered":"Mugno&#8217;s Prospects Dim Further"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It seem like just <a href=\"http:\/\/jordanbarab.com\/confinedspace\/2019\/02\/05\/mugno-delayed-osha\/\">yesterday<\/a> that we were speculating about the fate of OSHA nominee Scott Mugno whose third committee approval vote was postponed yesterday.\u00a0 Well, for all of you Mugno fans out there, I have some bad news.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/morning-shift\/2019\/02\/06\/coyotes-cartels-and-caravans-503620\">Politico<\/a>, &#8220;Senate HELP ranking member\u00a0Patty Murray (D-Wash.) said Tuesday through an aide that she will continue to block Republican labor nominees after two Democratic labor nominees withdrew in frustration.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You may <a href=\"http:\/\/jordanbarab.com\/confinedspace\/2018\/12\/06\/mugno-senate\/\">remember<\/a> last year, Murray held up the Department of Labor nominations because Republicans had blocked Chai Feldblum&#8217;s re-appointment to the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission as well as the re-appointment of Mark Gaston Pearce to the National Labor Relations Board.\u00a0 Both Feldblum and Pearce withdrew their nominations.
